At Hawaiʻi Farmers Union, we are growing Hawaiʻi’s future. Not by becoming bigger, but by starting small. Because we believe it takes many individuals, making many small actions, to change the terrain. We know that for Hawaiʻi to become resilient. We need land to farm and more farmers to nurture it. We need both backyard gardeners and those who buy and eat local.
And by blending traditional wisdom with modern innovation, we can feed our people and weather new storms. That’s why we bring more than 900 farmers, ranchers and family food supporters together. Why we listen to every member, learning from the past to guide us to a more sustainable future. Why we show our local government just how much this matters to the Islands.
Because HFU is people you know, and people just like you – People who believe in the sovereign right of farmers, ranchers, and fishers, and advocate for vibrant and prosperous agricultural communities.
